On the 14th March 2008, the media and swarms of fans gathered to watch a 16-year-old boy from Minnesota called Chris Chike perform on stage. Although everything was in place for this monumental evening in rock and roll, on closer inspection there was something amiss. Unlike most debauched rock legends Chris had an intense, reserved concentration on his face and as opposed to hurling himself into the frenzied fans, he was staring intently at a large monitor. The reason for this anomaly was that the young man was in fact not a musical genius but an introverted teenager who spent too much time on his game console; he was not performing music but playing a game called Guitar Hero. Chris was breaking the world record for highest score ever on a single track and the masses of attention illustrate how deeply embedded t guitar chords he game is in global culture. This article examines the cultural phenomenon and compares it to real guitar lessons. Guitar hero works on the basis of the player using a imitation guitar plugged into a games console which displays images on the screen. The images displayed on the TV show a representation of the coloured buttons running along a Musical Staff which ignite when they hit a certain point, then the player must hit the colour corresponding button on the control. Prophetic people, as well as anyone else God uses, are regular people, intended by God to fill a practical, spiritual purpose. With Hill’s first album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, she communicated a variety of spiritual truth by a means that people could understand: Music. This is guitar songs prophetic. One particular track, “To Zion,” illustrates a powerful parallel between her own potentially “inconvenient” pregnancy and the pregnancy of Mary with Jesus, which was certainly inconvenient. Your hands have to either have to look lopsided with one hand having short nails and the other having long nails, or both hands having short nails.Perhaps the one exception would be the thumb nail on the hand that is used for strumming. This comes in very handy when playing an acoustic guitar and learning flamenco-type music. The fingers are used for strumming much more than a pick would be in that case, and the thumb plays a vital role in the picking of the strings rather than a guitar pick.

Heads! Heads! Heads!Selecting and purchasing the proper head can be overwhelming. Drum heads are made of many materials and thicknesses for various uses and sounds desired. When seeking a bright and lively sustainable sound a clear thinner and single layer, 1 ply head is used. If a deeper, darker, flatter or heavier tone is desired, thicker coated heads, or heads with two layers with fibrous material or hydraulic fluid between the two layers should be chosen. Coated heads produce a slightly warmer sound and thicker and multi layered heads with fluids or fiber between the heads, will self muffle some of the ringing sound.Let’s go down the middle with an average situationLet’s assume you are playing basic Rock music on a medium hardness drum shell in a medium size room with average acoustics. Yes, this is very average, and not committing t guitar strap locks o any specific sound or style. Simply put, this is a good starting place for understanding how to tune a drum set.When applying the chosen head to the tom, place the logo where you like it the best because this can NOT be changed later. Place the rim on the head and equally finger-tighten all the lugs on the rim around the head. It is crucial to maintain balancing and centering throughout. Next, use a drum key in a criss-cross pattern to increase the tension patiently and equally. A turn, 180 degrees, on each lug is recommended. Then repeat until desired tune is reached. A clock like approach is recommended. For example, tighten lugs at 12 ?clock and 6 o’clock, then 2 o’clock and 8 o’clock, then 4 o’clock and 10 o’clock, back to 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock, and so on. The equality of the tension levels can be checked with a tension rod tool.
